Homes For Sale on Stuart Avenue
- Richmond's Fan District -
Stuart Avenue in Richmond’s Fan District originates just east of Meadow Park and continues west to its end near the University of Richmond campus. Stuart is cut by the museums on the Boulevard which helps to decrease thru traffic. With its origin west of Lombardy, all of Stuart is in the Upper Fan District.
Stuart is one of the wider streets in the Fan District and this width creates a better sense of space and light. The houses on Stuart are also elevated slightly as the street was excavated when constructed. This increased width and slight elevation does help to buffer some of the street noise from the homes along Stuart.
The western sections of Stuart surrounding Robinson change from a primary residential street to commercial and multi-family. The Stuart/Robinson corner is especially popular with Buddy’s Place (a long standing Richmond gathering place) and Starbucks as the two primary draws. Mulberry Place condominiums, located just west of Robinson, is a large condominium project in the corridor.
